About The Class

This April, the Fiber Arts Center of the Eastern Shore (FACES) is hosting an Introduction to Knitting course with Sue Pilsch. This session includes three Monday morning classes from 9AM- 11AM for a cost of $85 on April 22nd, 29th and May 6th.
Gain some insight into knitting fibers and tools while you master the basic stitches and learn to cast on and bind off your knitting. Discuss types of yarn and best uses of various fibers. Students will be introduced to a variety of needles and knitting styles.
The cost for this 3 class session (including all materials) is $85. Practice yarn and needles will be provided, as well as the yarn needed to begin your scarf after completing this class. Students only need to bring their nibble fingers!
If you’re already familiar with knitting, Sue Pilsch is also offering a “Finesse Your Knitting” course for intermediate and advanced knitters.

About Sue

Sue Pilsch was taught to knit by her Irish grandmother as soon as she could hold needles. Sue is accomplished in both the continental and English knitting techniques. Although the quality and quantity of tools and fibers are constantly evolving, Sue finds the timeless basics of knitting the most rewarding aspect of this fiber art form. Sue operates under the philosophy that the process of creating is more important than the piece created; something she stresses to her students. This supreme form of relaxation is something Sue seeks to share with all of her pupils.
