About the Class
Students with a basic knowledge of using a sewing machine will be able to increase their knowledge. Topics to be explored will include how to identify and understand fabric, how to use paper patterns, and how to use your sewing machine to make basic items. Other topics covered will include hems, buttons, repairs, and minor alterations. Students will have a completed item such as an apron at the end of the course.

About Donna
Donna Hayes has been sewing since childhood. Over the years she has taught people of all ages to enjoy the craft of sewing. She started quilting 15 years ago and has become an advocate for advancing the art of quilts on the Eastern Shore. In addition, she is a member of several quilting guilds and a major force at FACES. She loves to teach people of all ages especially children who are the future advocates of the art.
