About the Class
Ages 16 and up
Ideal for beginners.
Do you need to make a Jelly Roll Quilt Top for the Quilt-As-You-Go Jelly Roll Throw Class? Or have you always wondered how to make a quilt top using a jelly roll? A “jelly roll” is a bundle of pre-cut fabric strips. Learn how to sew these strips into a wonderful quilt top that can be used for the Jelly Roll Throw class on Sunday, Mar. 22. You will have your quilt top finished in 2-3 hours and have sew much fun!
What you need to bring:
1 Jelly Roll – approximately 40 – 2 1/2 inch strips of fabric. It can be bought pre-cut at a quilt/fabric shop or you may make your own using your stash. This makes a great scrappy quilt.
Sewing Machine (If you do not have a sewing machine, FACES does have a limited number of sewing machines. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm if one is available for you to use.)
2-3 spools of thread. Fill 3-4 bobbins before class.
Class Fee $10
About Your Teacher, Lynn Davis
Lynn Davis has had a love for many fiber arts since childhood. Quilts are particularly special to her for their rich history and tradition of being stitched with love and out of necessity to keep a family warm. Lynn’s personal journey with quilts began in 2010 when she joined a local quilt guild. Her favorite quilts to make are one that are fast, fun and done. She now enjoys sharing the tips and techniques that she has tried with others, especially beginners, who want to tell their own story and wrap someone else in stitches of love and warmth.
