Dear Members,

Hats Off! To the Placemat Makers! We did it! 166 placemats and way before the Mother’s Day Goal!!! The response of our members to the Meals on Wheels need for placemats has been overwhelming. The generosity of time and resources and the people that have delivered placemats to the Fiber Arts Center has been nothing short of awesomely fantastic. Placemats came from Baltimore, Salisbury, Easton, Dover, Wilmington, Washington, Bowie, Annapolis, Arnold, Trappe and dozens of other sewing machines in the reach of this newsletter. With all the negativity and bad things that rain down on us every day know that so many people worked quietly peacefully to give what they could to put a little color and joy into some unknown person’s home. These placemats will go out with a warm meal and sit on a kitchen table, TV tray or a bed tray and brighten someone’s day. Feel really good about what you have done and if life got in the way of you helping this time, it’s ok. Reach out and help someone another way, and we will present you with another way you can help others with fiber soon.

The last few days of the Cathy Spence’s fabulous Coverlet Exhibit are here and the next
exhibit will be Christine Kamon, from Chestertown. She has been pursuing her passion
for quilting for 30 years. Based on time honored traditional patterns, her work has a
fresh and exciting feel of abstract and original contemporary designs. She approaches
her craft with enthusiasm and creativity at every turn. With bursts of color and geometric diversity, Christine offers a visual feast for the viewer.

Also come take a look at the new upstairs room, we need creative ideas for this space.
It is all freshly painted and the sunlight alone is just perfect for any fiber work. We look
forward to sharing it with you.

Stop by as we are making things happen!
