Debra Bowman began her fiber arts journey as a child in Carroll County 4H Club. Later, she started college as a Textile major moving into Consumer Economics & Business, earning a secondary education teaching degree. Dr. Bowman retired from the University of Maryland as a volunteer development specialist. She is recognized for her creative, interactive adult and youth instruction methods.

Debra loves color.  She describes herself as “a traditionalist with some outside-of-the-box creativity.”  She works on commissioned pieces, home decor and gifts, and memory tributes. Debra’s dream is to one day publish a book inspired by writings between a dog named Eve and cancer warrior Jim, “A Dog Knose.”

Small group and individual classes are available in quilting, embroidery, needlepoint, embellishment and crochet for youth and adults.
