Springfield Farms of Kent County was established in 1976. Owner Bill Bankhead majored in Livestock Production at Cornell University. Springfield is a family run farm that produces and sells quality wool items made from the wool collected from the sheep that they raise.
Some of the wool that is produced on the farm is shipped to Michigan for cleaning and spinning then returned to the farm for sale. Items for sale from the farm also include raw wool, blankets, natural yarn, and dyed yarn. You can find Springfield Farms of Kent County at many local Farmer’s Markets in Baltimore and Chestertown, Maryland and in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
